🔴 LATEST: The Israel Defense Forces says it is declaring a state of readiness for war following a massive barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip and infiltration of Hamas terrorists into Israel.

In a statement, the IDF says Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi is holding an assessment and approving plans of action.

“Hamas… which is behind this attack, will bear the results and responsibility for the events,” the IDF says.

Terrorists infiltrate southern Israel, clash with troops; woman killed in rocket barrage.

🔴 A woman was killed and another 15 were wounded in the surprise rocket attacks on southern and central Israel this morning.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service says a woman in her 60s was killed in a direct rocket impact in the Gderot area.

Another two people are seriously wounded, six moderately, and seven with minor injuries, MDA says.

A number of civilian fatalities have been reported in Sderot after Hamas terrorists infiltrated into the southern city in a surprise attack Saturday morning, reports ToI military correspondent Emanuel Fabian.

Graphic footage and photos appear to show several people lying dead in the streets of the city, close to the Gaza Strip.

Other clips show the Hamas terrorists shooting, as they clash with Israeli forces in the area.

It is unclear how many terrorists infiltrated into the country.

The clashes are ongoing.

The military says it is carrying out airstrikes in Gaza.

🔴 Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has declared an emergency situation within a range of 80 kilometers from the Gaza Strip, his office says.

The “special situation” allows the military’s Home Front Command to restrict gatherings and close off areas.

The area includes the major cities Tel Aviv and Beersheba.

Rocket alert sirens also sounded in Jerusalem and the surrounding towns for the second time this morning amid an ongoing attack by the Hamas terror group.

💬 The article “Fighting against the USSR didn’t necessarily make you a Nazi”, which appeared in “Politico” on 2 October 2023, is the clearest example of the cynical manipulation of history.

According to British scholar Keir Giles, Yaroslav Hunka – an SS soldier who fought against the Soviet troops on Germany’s eastern front – is not a Nazi, but rather a man of difficult fate who faced “an excruciating choice over which of these two terror regimes to resist”.

Russia, “clinging to simple narratives” started “shouting about Nazis, real or imaginary, in Ukraine or elsewhere” and given the “history of aggression and atrocities” committed by the Kremlin during World War II and its aftermath, “there’s a special cynicism underlying the Russian accusations”.

Allegedly, “the Soviets and the Nazis had so much in common that it’s now illegal to point these similarities out in Russia”, but unlike Nazi Germany, leaders and soldiers of the Soviet Union were never put on trial for their war crimes.

‼️Many in the West seem to have forgotten what the truth, conscience and moral are. In fact, the article by Keir Giles aspires to be regarded as a kind of "guidelines" for those who have not yet gained experience in the promotion of neo-Nazism in Western countries. The logic that the author tries to impose is a sort of manual for those who seek justification for their own actions that contribute to the escalation of contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.

The only conclusion that emerges is that, alas, it is not only Ukraine that needs denazification today.

Terrorists Fire on Attendees at Outdoor Party in Southern Israel

In a Channel 12 interview, one woman said that while attempting to leave the party, some five gunmen shot up her car, which was totaled as she tried to flee the bottleneck.

Israel was invaded several hours ago by dozens of Iran-backed Hamas terrorists, during a large-scale, ongoing attack.
 
The violence began as thousands of rockets pummeled Southern Israel, with some reaching as far as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Simultaneously, dozens of terrorists infiltrated Israel by air, land and sea. Though many have been neutralized by Israeli forces, as of this writing Muslim gunmen are still roaming the streets in several Israeli towns, going house-to-house, leaving death and misery in their wake.
 
Several hundred Israelis have been wounded. At least 1,000 Israelis injured and 100 people have been killed. An unknown number of Israelis have been kidnapped. Many people are still looking for loved ones, unaware of their fate. This is potentially the worst attack on Israel in a half century.

In response to the Hamas invasion, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Israel to be at war, and the Israeli military has launched Operation Swords of Iron. Thus far, numerous Hamas targets have been attacked, but this war is just beginning.
 
In the coming days, Jerusalem will repel the invaders and restore safety and security to her streets. At the same time, Israel will deal a strategically significant blow to Hamas while also watching its Northern border to ensure Hezbollah does not choose to capitalize on the conflict.
 
We have work to do as well. I ask you to join me in praying for the peace of Jerusalem and for the safety and security of all Israelis. In addition, as we saw following the last round of fighting with Hamas, there will be those in Congress who would seek to kneecap Israel and deny her the support necessary to defeating Hamas and its ilk. Make no mistake, the anti-Israel forces in Congress will be defeated; Christians United for Israel (CUFI), will make sure of it.
