1. Jet fuel burns at 800-1,500°F.
2. Steel melts at 2,750°F
3. Steel is still "a noodle" at only about 1,800°F meaning it is very compromised which could lead to structural collapse say of the Twin Towers at much lower temperatures than the 2,750°F melting point. In fact, steel even if it doesn't reach melting point, holds about half its strength when heated up to 1,100°F but would it be the symmetrical, uniform "pancake" type of collapse we observed or is there more to the story?
