❗️Journalist Gonzalo Lira Seeks Asylum in Hungary After Cruel, Inhumane Detention in Ukraine

According to the article in the Big League Politics, Gonzalo Lira is pleading with Hungary for asylum after enduring a long and cruel jail sentence in Ukraine. He was arrested for posting YouTube videos on May 1 for “making videos critical of the West and their proxy regime in Kiev” and exposing “how they are destroying Ukraine.”

💬“Right now, I’m about to try to get out of Ukraine, and seek political asylum in Hungary. Either I’ll cross the border and make it to safety, or I’ll be disappeared by the Kiev regime,” Lira wrote in a tweet.

🗣“My indictment explicitly states that all I did was discuss publicly known facts about the war—the epitome of free speech in a democracy. But Zelensky’s Ukraine is no democracy—it is a thieving, corrupt, murderous gangster regime PRETENDING to be a polite “western” democracy,” journalist stated.

As for me, I'd rather live my whole life believing that there is a God and then find out that there isn't than to spend my whole life believing that there isn't one only to die to find out there is, because if you do that, then it's too late and you'll have hell to pay.

Franklin Graham Returning to UK After Legal Victory Over Canceled Events

The Rev. Franklin Graham will be returning to the United Kingdom for a pair of gatherings, a couple of years after he won a legal battle against a venue that canceled his events due to disagreeing with his views on homosexuality.

Last October, a Scottish court ruled that Scottish Event Campus Limited had violated the U.K. Equality Act when it canceled the BGEA events, and ordered them to pay more than $111,000 (£97,000) in damages.

“I heard no evidence to suggest that Franklin Graham had intended to pursue a toxic or dangerous agenda at the event. On the contrary, it is not disputed that the event would have been an evangelical outreach event for up to twelve thousand people,” read the ruling, in part.

“That is not to say that his opinions are not offensive to some whether in Glasgow or elsewhere. However, the pursuer's right to engage a speaker at the evangelical event — in furtherance of a religious or philosophical belief — is protected by law.”

The new law, SB23-169, is part of a collection of new “gun reform” laws that were approved and signed by Governor Jared Polis (D-Colo.) in the spring.

The law will go into effect statewide on Monday, with the only exceptions being active members of the United States military, peace officers, and people who have been certified by the Peace Officer Standards and Training board.

Gun rights groups throughout the state have filed lawsuits against the Governor’s office and the state as a result of the new series of laws being passed. Rocky Mountain Gun Owners have also filed a lawsuit, as well as a Temporary Restraining Order to try and prevent the law from going into effect.

The group argued that the law is unconstitutional, and that if a person under 21 can be drafted into the military and put their life on the line for their country, then they should be able to own a gun.
