Florida Cop Arrested, Relieved of Duty for 'Reckless Driving' of Marked Police Cruiser

A Florida city police officer was reportedly arrested and stripped of his duties after being pulled over by a county sheriff's deputy for alleged reckless driving.

Officer Alexander Shaouni was allegedly driving 80 mph in a 45 mph zone in a marked Orlando Police Department vehicle when he was pulled over by a deputy of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, according to police dashcam footage.

Jack Teixeira Indicted By Federal Grand Jury, Allegedly Leaked Classified Documents

Teixeira, 21, of North Dighton, Massachusetts, was arrested in April and faces charges including retention and transmission of classified information related to national defense, including records of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Among the documents was information on military activities, including spy planes in the area, U.S. official’s opinion on Ukrainian forces’ training and readiness, as well as estimates on the number of troops killed and equipment destroyed on both sides.

On Thursday, GOP Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill into law that would protect women’s sports at the collegiate level from biological male athletes who identify as transgender women.

The law, S.B. 15, known as the “Save Women’s Sports Act,” requires athletes at the college level to compete in sports that align with their biological sex instead of their “gender identity.” This legislation will go into effect in September and allows individuals to sue institutions that allow transgender athletes to compete on teams that align with their gender identity.

On June 13th, the #Biden administration @POTUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, #CFIUS) approved the controversial plan of #China's #Gotion High-Tech to build a large EV battery factory in #Michigan, on the basis that Gotion is not a "foreign entity of concern".
