Berlin has been hit by another disturbing wave of antisemitism as hundreds of Muslim protesters, mainly migrants, chanted “death to Israel” and “death to Jews” in two city neighborhoods with a large Islamic presence, Kreuzberg and Neukölln.

EU Use of Cash and Crypto May be Criminalized

The European Union is likely to "criminalize" the use of crypto and physical cash in favor of its Central Bank Digital Currency due to new anti-money laundering laws, according to Gunnar Beck, Alternative for Germany MEP.

The proposal, voted on by the European Parliament, prevents Europeans from spending over €7,000 in physical cash in a single transaction and bans crypto transactions to pay for goods and services worth over €1,000.

Beck said the main proponents of restrictions are trying to get the entire bloc to support this by passing "a regulation instead of a directive."

This means that individual EU states will not be able to avoid implementing these reforms, even if they are against them.

Beck further warned that due to pressure from conservative parties in the European Parliament, the limit has been raised from the originally-proposed €3,000 to the current €7,000, but even this figure could still be lowered in the future.
