STEVE'S TAKE: Boiling your water isn't going to cut it. The boiling point to decontaminate water with these chemicals in it is much higher (i.e. 171 °C (339.8 °F)) than your standard boiling point of water which is 99.97 °C (211.9 °F) at a pressure of 1 atm (i.e., 101.325 kPa).
The powers that be know this and they're not even telling you that! Instead they lie and just pretend you can boil your water and it's going to be OK.
