A health expert has said there is “NO DOUBT in my mind” that the HIGHLY TRANSMISSIBLE Delta variant is being spread at least in part by fully vaccinated Americans.
The Delta variant is currently responsible for more than HALF of all cases, also increasing in cities with high-vaccine uptake:
▪️Los Angeles: 60% of residents aged 16+ fully vaxxed - saw infections rise by 165% in one week
▪️New York City: 63% of all adults inoculated - new cases have risen by 295 since June 24th
A health expert from the University of Washington said the CDC’s guidance that vaccinated people only get tested if they have symptoms - means the US is “missing a bunch of transmission.”
