Child exploitation suffered a crushing defeat Wednesday after several parent organizations rallied in Sacramento against California Senate Bill 866.

The controversial bill would have allowed minors as young as 15 (12 years old was initially proposed) to agree to receive ANY vaccine without their parent’s consent. But it was pulled by State Senator Scott Wiener just hours before the vote.

Wiener stated he pulled the bill because of “death threats, harassment, and a lack of vote.” But in reality, he was just being a sore loser.

Turkey's Erdogan warns his enemy Greece that it must stop building a naval force in the Aegean Islands, and he has threatened it with a "heavy price" that it may pay. "We have only one word to say to the Greeks: do not forget Izmir (formerly the Greek Smyrna)", referring to the occupation of the city by the Turks in 1922, who also carried out a massacre and ethnic cleansing of the Greek Christians there.

"The occupation of the islands by you does not oblige us. When the time comes we will do what is necessary, maybe we will surprise you at night," Erdogan said in a speech. Turkey accuses Greece of a military buildup on the islands, and it claims that Greek sovereignty over them is contingent on their demilitarized status. It should be noted that these are two NATO member states, an alliance that is very unstable anyway.
