This is horrible. A 15 year old boy developed fulminant myocarditis requiring pacemaker placement after covid infection in January. Then in September, 13d after his first covid vax dose, he developed severe myocarditis again with heart failure and cardiovascular collapse requiring intubation and placement of temporary heart pump and ECMO, leading to seizures from hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (oxygen deprivation to brain) and interstitial fibrosis. 😭 1796857

I have no family, so a friend offered for me and my daughter to have Thanksgiving dinner with his family.

In July, 2 of my friend’s vaccinated family members gave my daughter and me COVID.

Now I am being told by his family that my daughter and I have to show a negative COVID test to come to dinner since we aren’t vaxed. But only us, not the vaxed family members (who even gave us covid while they were vaxed).

Wtf?! I’m not going. My daughter and I do not deserve to be needlessly targeted. I would have no problem if EVERYONE had to be tested. But the fact that only we are required…they can fuck themselves.

There are obviously varying opinions about socialized medicine. This current covid vax situation, however, highlights one thing broken about our privatized healthcare system that I had never considered.

We as a country are being ordered by our employers via the federal government to take a vax. This vax is provided free of charge. However, any vax injuries are at the individual’s expense. These expenses can be financially devastating. The vax injuries can also lead to disability preventing the person from working.

England still has no vax mandate. And last month was the first time they set a future requirement (April) for healthcare workers to be vaxed.

In countries like England that have socialized medicine, there is inherent financial incentive to not force something that will wind up costing the government/people much more money in the longterm. As it is becoming apparent that the cost to diagnose and treat these injuries outweighs the benefit of the reduced financial burden of treating severe covid, they will likely continue to be hesitant to push the vax on the public.

Since governments with privatized healthcare (such as ours) suffer no financial burden when things go wrong, they have no financial incentive to halt the mandates, no matter how much harm is done. We all know that money talks.

Though it seems reflective of socialized medicine, I still think the government should be immediately responsible for the burden of caring for those injured by such mandates.

An untold number of uninsured or underinsured people are needlessly suffering even more from vax injuries because they cannot afford to seek medical care. Many of these cases are seen in VAERS.

This even affects our calculation of rates of adverse events. Since many people cannot seek care because of cost, their medical condition will not be diagnosed, making it appear there are fewer incidents of that adverse event than there actually are. This is part of the reason why England’s AE data is more complete than ours.

This shows how medical knowledge can be adversely affected through healthcare disparities due to economic disparities in privatized medicine.
