What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is an online platform that enhances the learning experience in the physical classroom. It is part of the Google Apps for Education suite which strives to enable paperless learning in the classroom.
Google Classroom is a free collaboration application for teachers and learners. Teachers can create online classrooms, ask students to attend the class, and create and give out assignments. Learners and teachers can communicate about the assignments within the platform and teachers can monitor students’ progress. Schools can create a free Google Apps for Education account to utilize this solution.
Google Classroom provides extra features to teachers and students that are not part of standard Google accounts. For instance, teachers can utilize the Forms tool to add images and multiple choice answers to questions. The Inbox by Gmail tool hosts Classroom messages, enabling students and teachers to easily find highlights and key updates. Teachers can organize their class streams by adding subjects to posts and students and teachers can filter the streams to find specific subjects.
Google Classroom is also beneficial for parents. Teachers can share summaries of student performance with their parents and the latter can get automated email summaries of class announcements and student work.
Overview of Google Classroom Benefits Utilize Google’s Proven Technology Expertise
Google Classroom is part of Google Apps as well as the established Google ecosystem. Thus, this solution makes good use of Google’s proven technological infrastructure and interconnectivity to offer users a top rate education solution.
Advantages for Teachers
Teachers can easily create online classes to complement the other classes they conduct. They can share learning materials with their students and these can be viewed and downloaded conveniently. In addition, educators can create online assignments and also track students’ progress and performance in the assignments.
Overview of Google Classroom Features
• Provides for a paperless classroom
• Access to Google products such as Google Docs and Drive
• Instant collaboration between teachers and students even outside the classroom
• Simple to set up
• Saves money
• For teachers, being able to better track a student’s progress
Google Classroom Position In Our Categories
Since companies have special business wants, it is prudent they avoid preferring an all-encompassing, ideal business application. Regardless, it would be futile to try to come across such application even among popular software solutions. The sensible step to undertake can be to set down the different important aspects which merit investigation such as critical features, budget, technical skill competence of staff, business size, etc. The second step is, you should do the product research fully. Go over some Google Classroom reviews and look over the other software options in your list in detail. Such all-encompassing product research guarantee you weed out mismatched apps and buy the one which offers all the benefits your business requires to realize efficiency.
Advantages for Students
Students can easily access the assignments and learning materials prepared by their educator. In addition, they can use the platform to communicate with the teacher and other students anytime. Interconnectivity with Google Drive and Docs enables students to submit completed assignments that include rich media.

The Consortium for Educational Communication, popularly known as CEC, is one of the Inter University Centres set up by the University Grants Commission of India. It has been established with the goal of addressing the needs of Higher Education through the powerful medium of Television along with appropriate use of emerging Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Realizing the potential and power of television to act as a means of educational knowledge dissemination, UGC started the Countrywide Classroom Programmes in the year 1984. For production of such programmes, Media Centres were set up at 6 Universities. Subsequently CEC emerged in 1993 as a nodal agency to coordinate, guide & facilitate such Educational production at the National level. Today 21 Media Centres work towards achieving this goal under the umbrella of CEC.
