Menhaz Zaman pleaded guilty in September to three counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder for killing his parents, sister and grandmother on July 27, 2019, in their home in Markham, Ont.

Morocco begs to differ. That unresolved dispute has only deepened as Madrid moves to further entrench its presence in the enclaves through major economic and infrastructure investments. Spain has invested$828 million in the enclaves between 2023 and 2026.
