A left-wing group is trying to disqualify outspoken Trump supporter Pennsylvania state Senator Doug Mastriano from the state governor’s race because he allegedly participated in an “insurrection” against the U.S. government by supporting the former president’s reelection bid.

Recent polling shows Mastriano has the lead—garnering 19 percent support—in the field of 9 candidates seeking the Republican nomination for governor of the Keystone State, according to a poll Eagle Consulting Group conducted of 502 likely GOP primary voters from April 7 through April 9, PennLive reports. The primary election is May 17. The current governor, Democrat Tom Wolf, is term-limited. Attorney General Josh Shapiro is running unopposed in the Democratic Party’s gubernatorial primary.

The architect of the "Stop the Steal" movement, who boasted that U.S. Reps. Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar of Arizona helped plan the Jan. 6, 2021, rally that turned into a violent assault at the U.S. Capitol, is cooperating with federal investigators.

Ali Alexander, who has described himself as "the father" of the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election, said he agreed to work with the Department of Justice after being served with a grand jury subpoena this month.

Alexander's cooperation was first reported by The New York Times and provides official confirmation that investigators are looking beyond the breach of the U.S. Capitol by hundreds of Trump supporters to the planners and organizers behind it.

Senate passes HB2498 which prohibits government entities from requiring Arizona residents to take the COVID vaccine. Huge win for personal liberty and medical freedom. The bill now heads to the Governor.

The Tennessee GOP has voted to remove three candidates who were vying for a seat representing the state’s 5th Congressional District.

Republicans voted to boot Morgan Ortagus, Robby Starbuck, and Baxter Lee from the primary ballot, Tennessee Republican Chairman Scott Golden told news outlets.

Golden and the party did not respond to requests for more information.

Ortagus, a State Department spokeswoman during the Trump administration who recently moved from Washington, was just endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

Starbuck, a filmmaker who used to live in California, has promoted Trump policies such as strong border enforcement.

Lee is a businessman who has described himself as a conservative outsider.

Musk Secures $46.5 Billion Funding to Buy Twitter, Says Ready for Tender Offer

Billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk has secured the funding required financing to make a tender offer to buy Twitter and take the company private, according to a new regulatory filing.

The document shows that Musk has received $46.5 billion in commitment to help finance the proposed deal. Through a tender offer, Musk plans to approach Twitter shareholders directly and offer to buy their shares within a specific time frame. He is, however, still considering whether to launch a tender offer for Twitter.

Musk, the richest man in the world, has secured $25.5 billion in debt financing from Morgan Stanley Senior Funding and other financial institutions, including Bank of America, Barclays, and Mizuho. He has also committed to provide $21 billion in equity financing, according to the document.

Musk is seeking to negotiate a “definitive agreement” with the board for the acquisition of Twitter.

“Twitter has not responded to the proposal,” Musk says according to the filing. “Given the lack of response by Twitter,” he is “exploring whether to commence a tender offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares” at a price of $54.20 per share.

PHOENIX – Attorney General Mark Brnovich is suing the Arizona Secretary of State (SOS) to compel her production of a lawful Elections Procedures Manual (EPM), which she has failed to produce. An updated EPM is required by law and helps ensure consistency and integrity in the administration of Arizona’s statewide elections.

“Providing a set of rules that is consistent with Arizona law for every county to utilize in the 2022 Statewide Elections is not a suggestion, it is a requirement for the Secretary of State,” said Attorney General Brnovich. “By now everyone should understand the imperative of maintaining lawful and accurate elections that avoid even the appearance of impropriety.”

The SOS failed to provide the Governor and Attorney General with a lawful manual by October 1, 2021, as required, and instead included nearly one-hundred pages of provisions not permitted under the EPM statute. This is especially problematic because the EPM has the force of law, subjecting offenders to criminal penalties. Moreover, the Arizona Supreme Court has repeatedly held that provisions beyond the SOS’s authority can neither be included nor enforced.

Therefore, the Attorney General and Governor declined to approve the SOS's EPM, rejecting its array of unlawful and unenforceable provisions and expressing concern for the confusion it would create for county election officials. The SOS refused to make the required changes, thus failing to produce a lawful EPM and leaving counties without a roadmap to ensure free, fair, and orderly statewide elections in 2022.

The AGO and the Yavapai County Republican Committee are now asking the Yavapai County Superior Court to order the SOS to provide a lawful EPM, one that specifically includes rules regarding ballot signature verification, prohibitions on outsourcing any part of that process such as the use of unregulated artificial intelligence software, and requiring that all ballot drop boxes be appropriately staffed.
