Here's a quick wrap up: Russian forces are invading Ukraine along all fronts. In the East, in Kharkiv, Russian armored columns are confirmed to be already across the border following shaping fires on air defense sites and airfields. Combat has broken out in the south as well, with border checkpoints along the Crimean front being attacked. Amphibious landings of Russian troops have occurred in the vicinity of Odessa, and possibly Mauripol as well (the latter has yet to be confirmed). Ukrainian airspace is closed to all civilian airline traffic, and Boryspil airport is host to ground combat of unknown type at this time (possibly Russian special forces attempting to capture key facilities that will be useful later, but that's highly speculative right now).
Mass evacuations from Kiev are already occurring, and traffic along all major surface roads is already beginning to back up as civilians attempt to head west. Right now, a western egress route is the most viable option. However, it would be advisable to avoid critical infrastructure. It is unlikely that Russian ground forces will succeed in invading the entire country tonight, but with reports of Russian strategic bombers being active in the area, Russia will almost certainly implement a strategic bombing/cruise missile campaign on all Ukrainian military infrastructure within the next few hours.
So for those looking to evacuate, be advised that traveling is very risky right now.
We are also seeing significant cyberattacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and telecom networks. Expect significant and widespread cellular/internet/power outages due to combat actions, Russian jamming, and users overloading services.
