On August 19, 2025, the Namangan alumni community hosted a special panel discussion, β€œAlumni Journey Towards Study in the USA,” at the American Corner Namangan. The event brought together 25 motivated high school and university students eager to learn more about studying in the United States.

✨ Organized by Regional Alumni Representative Elena Mustaeva, the event featured alumni of U.S. Government–funded exchange programs such as FLEX and Global UGRAD, who shared their personal journeys of studying and living in the U.S. They offered practical advice on applications, campus life, cultural adaptation, and scholarship preparation. The program also included a talk by EducationUSA Advisor Yana Kuchkarova, who provided additional guidance on educational pathways and preparing for study in the U.S.

πŸ’¬ The agenda featured presentations, a lively Q&A session, and a networking segment that gave students the chance to build connections with alumni and with one another.

πŸ“š Sessions covered program goals, policies, curricula, classroom practices, and digital tools. Activities like Professional Bingo, Kahoot!, and hands-on Google Workspace training encouraged collaboration and innovation.

🌟 #RARinAction in Jizzakh!

On August 18, the Jizzakh alumni community hosted a workshop on β€œBest Practices for Using AI in English Language Classrooms,” open to both educators and students. The event explored how artificial intelligence can shape the future of teaching and learning.

The day began with an interactive warm-up, followed by alumni-led sessions on AI basics, creating effective prompts, classroom tools like Elevens Lab and Twee, and over forty different AI resources to make lessons more engaging. Participants actively experimented with tools, shared ideas, and discovered new strategies to bring creativity into education.

The workshop proved to be informative as well as highly motivating, strengthening the role of alumni as leaders in shaping forward-looking classrooms.

πŸŽ‰ The Young Professional Internships Program (YPIP) just wrapped up its 2025 summer cohort!

Over the past three months, 90 university students from across Uzbekistan completed full-time internships at 35 host companies, joined professional development sessions, learned from U.S. Government exchange alumni mentors, and visited U.S.-affiliated companies like Air Products, Coca-Cola, Wings Distribution, and EPAM Systems.

✨ At the Capstone & Closing Ceremony, held on August 25, we celebrated their growth and achievements, and the impact of a program that helps prepare Uzbekistan’s next generation of leaders.

πŸ“’ C5+O.N.E. Launches Fifth Cohort

On September 17, the C5+O.N.E. program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, launched its Fifth Cohort, uniting 700+ professionals from across Central Asia. Nearly 200 joined the Kick-Off Ceremony to begin a nine-month journey of improving English, learning from U.S. experts, and expanding networks.

In his remarks, U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, Lesslie Viguerie, emphasized, β€œEnglish is the language of future economic growth... take full advantage of this opportunity to make English a part of your future.”

Jeff Bunting, Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, added: β€œThe C5+O.N.E. program enacts the goals of the C5+1. It brings the five Central Asian countries together with the United States to strengthen economic ties, enhance the development of energy resources, and address security threats.”

🌟 YPIP Alumni Meetup Highlights πŸŽ“

On September 21, 40 YPIP alumni came together for an engaging quarterly alumni meetup and training session led by Dr. Alisher Faizullaev.

Through interactive games and discussions, Dr. Faizullaev guided participants in strengthening their strategic thinking skills and exploring effective approaches to both cooperation and competition. Alumni gained valuable insights into critical thinking, joint decision-making, trust-building, and strategic negotiations.

The meetup provided an inspiring space for alumni to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen their professional and personal connections. 🀝

ℹ️ Dr. Alisher Faizullaev is a 2012 Fulbright Visiting Scholar alumnus, former Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO, and an internationally recognized scholar in diplomacy, negotiation, and political psychology. He currently teaches at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy as well as at Webster University in Tashkent.
