‎السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

‎نودّ إبلاغكم أنّه سيحدث خسوف كلي للقمر في مدينة أوتاوا والمناطق المحيطة بها يوم الثلاثاء ٣ آذار/مارس ٢٠٢٦.

- يبدأ الخسوف عند الساعة *٤:٥٠* فجراً.
- يصل إلى ذروته عند الساعة *٦:٣٣* صباحاً.
- ⁠ينتهي الخسوف عند الساعة *٦:٣٩* صباحاً.
- ⁠
‎وعليه، تجب صلاة الآيات خلال وقت الخسوف، مع الإشارة إلى أن بعض الفتاوى تحتاط بوجوب أدائها قبل بدء الانجلاء، أي قبل الساعة *٦:٣٣ صباحاً*.

‎كيفية أداء صلاة الآيات:

‎📍 الكيفية الاولى

‎في كل ركعة خمسة ركوعات:
‎ ١- يكبّر ثم يقرأ الفاتحة وسورة كاملة، ثم يركع.
‎ ٢- يرفع رأسه، يقرأ الفاتحة وسورة أخرى، ثم يركع.
‎ ٣- يكرر ذلك حتى يتم خمس ركوعات، ثم يسجد سجدتين.
‎ ٤- يقوم للركعة الثانية، ويكرر نفس الخطوات، ثم يتشهد ويسلّم.

‎📍 الكيفية الثانية

‎في كل ركعة خمسة ركوعات:
‎ ١- يكبّر، ثم يقرأ الفاتحة وسورة على مراحل، بحيث يقرأ آية من السورة قبل كل ركوع.
‎ ٢- بعد الركوع الخامس، يسجد سجدتين.
‎ ٣- يقوم للركعة الثانية، ويكرر نفس الخطوات، ثم يتشهد ويسلّم.

‎يمكن أداء الركعة الأولى بإحدى الطريقتين، والثانية بالأخرى.

Lunar Eclipse – March 3rd, 2026

A Total Lunar Eclipse will occur in Ottawa and surrounding areas on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026.

- Eclipse begins: 4:50 AM
- Maximum Eclipse: 6:33 AM
- Eclipse ends: 6:39 AM

Salaatul Ayat becomes wajib during the eclipse. As a precaution (ihtiyat), some maraji‘ require performing the prayer before the peak (6:33 AM).

How to Perform Salatul Ayat

📍 First Method

1. Recite Al-Fatiha and a full surah, then do ruku.
2. Stand up, recite Al-Fatiha and another surah, then do ruku.
3. Repeat this five times, then go to sujood.
4. The second rak‘at follows the same method, ending with tashahhud and tasleem.

📍 Second Method

In both rak‘ats there are five rukus:
After Al Fatiha, recite another surah in such a way that you say one ayah of this surah before each of the five rukus.
For example:
1. Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim; Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr + ruku.
2. Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr + ruku.
3. Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr + ruku.
4. Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr + ruku.
5. Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la’il fajr + ruku.
6. Then you go to sajdah. Repeat the second rak'at in the same way, ending with tashahhud and tasleem.

You can recite the 1st rak‘at in the one method and the 2nd rak‘at in the second method.
