👉 Gisteren blokkeerden we de A12 om tijdens de “grootste veiligheidsoperatie ooit” onze eisen voor rechtvaardigheid ingewilligd te krijgen; stop de genocide, stop racisme en fascisme, stop fossiele vernietiging.

✅ De meest basale, de meest menselijke eisen waarmee logischerwijs een overgrote meerderheid van Nederland het eens is.

❤️ Dus stonden we er gisteren weer. Dapper, vastberaden en in solidariteit met getroffen gemeenschappen wereldwijd en in Nederland. Onze vreedzame demonstratie werd beantwoord met repressie en geweld. Meerdere vreedzame demonstranten zijn door de politie toegetakeld en verwond, waarbij agenten zelfs bij twee rebellen een arm hebben gebroken.
Dit is niet normaal.

☠️ Een staat die grondrechten van burgers schendt, het internationaal recht aan zijn laars lapt en burgers weigert te beschermen tegen de klimaatcatastrofe, dient niet gehoorzaamd maar bestreden te worden.

💚 We zijn al onze mede-rebellen en kamaraden van verschillende bewegingen die erbij waren intens dankbaar. We zijn geroerd door jullie tomeloze inzet. Neem de tijd voor een goede regeneratie, kom naar een debrief. Doe dit liefst lokaal, maar anders is er op aanstaande vrijdag 27 juni een landelijke debrief.

👉 Yesterday we blocked the A12 to get our demands for justice met during the “biggest security operation ever”; stop genocide, stop racism and fascism, stop fossil destruction.

✅ The most basic, the most human demands with which logically a vast majority of the Netherlands agrees.

👉 On Saturday 13 September, the Saturday before "Prinsjesdag" (when the Dutch government presents their plans for the coming year), at noon, we will block the A12!

🔥 Gigantic forest fires are raging in France. In the Global South, vulnerable communities are fighting for their survival. The world has passed 1.5 degrees of warming.

📢 Two weeks ago, the International Court of Justice was crystal clear: we have a DUTY to do everything we can to limit global warming, including abolishing fossil subsidies.

Daar is natuurlijk geen sprake van. We demonstreren gewoon in de tunnelbak, midden op de A12, en daarmee staan we in ons recht. Dat zou de burgemeester na meer dan 40 blokkades wel moeten weten toch?

De enige manier waarop onze A12-blokkade tegen te houden is, is door de fossiele subsidies te stoppen.

We will be demonstrating in the tunnel box, in the middle of the A12, and thus we are completely within our rights. The mayor should know that after more than 40 blockades, right?

The only way to stop our A12 blockade is to stop the fossil subsidies.

📰Eerder deze maand kwam een nieuw VN rapport uit met richtlijnen over het recht op vreedzaam klimaatprotest en burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheid. Daarin staan verschillende richtlijnen over de omgang met klimaatdemonstranten en burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheid.

📢We roepen het gemeentebestuur in onze brief daarom op om deze richtlijnen ter harte te nemen en om hun verantwoordelijkheid hierin te pakken. Dat vraagt onder andere om het volgende:

👉 Pak de oorzaak voor onze protesten, de fossiele subsidies, aan in plaats van ons te onderdrukken met repressieve maatregelen als waterkanonnen en polsklemmen.

👉 Onderneem actie tegen het criminaliseren van vreedzame klimaatdemonstranten

✉️ On October 23, we sent another letter to the municipal administration of the city of The Hague. Apparently, they missed our previous letter 🤷

📰Earlier this month, a new UN report was published with guidelines on the right to peaceful climate protest and civil disobedience. It contains various guidelines on how to deal with climate protesters and civil disobedience.

📢In our letter, we therefore call on the municipality to take these guidelines to heart and to take responsibility in this matter. This requires, among other things, the following:

👉 Address the cause of our protests, fossil fuel subsidies, instead of oppressing us with repressive measures such as water cannons and wrist restraints.

👉 Take action against the criminalization of peaceful climate protesters.

📍De veegvinger verzamelt om 11.30 uur op de Koekamp. Je herkent de vinger-coördinator aan de vlag op de foto. Zorg dat je bij de juiste groep aansluit, er zijn mogelijk ook andere groepen in de buurt.

👉 Het is belangrijk dat je een actietraining hebt gevolgd. Een RST nummer kun je ter plekke nog regelen. Ook een buddy kun je eventueel ter plekke nog regelen.

📢 For rebels who are not organised in a finger and want to join the blockade:

📍The last-minute finger will meet up at 11.30 AM, on the Koekamp. The finger coordinator will be holding the flag shown in the pic. Make sure it's this exact flag as there may be other groups nearby.

👉 It’s important that you’ve taken an action training. You will be able to get an RST nr on site, as well as a buddy, if you need one.
