Уся наша українська родина сьогодні вшановує пам’ять жертв депортації кримськотатарського народу. Народу, проти якого 79 років тому був скоєний злочин геноциду. Сотні тисяч людей були вигнані на чужину. Увесь народ позбавили рідного дому і намагалися стерти у Криму все, що нагадувало саме про нього.

Усі в Україні зараз впізнають це зло. Через роки, змінивши свої символи, але не змінивши своєї сутності, зло повернулося. Щоб так само знищувати людей. Але цього разу ми його знищимо. Ми повинні це зробити.

Що б не робила Росія, її агресію чекає поразка. Їй не вдасться вкрасти ані Крим, ані будь-яку іншу нашу частинку нашої держави. Це – наш із вами дім.

Впевнений, що прийде час, коли ми всі разом зможемо 18 травня зустрітись у впевненості – що у нашому Криму, у його квітучих садах та у гостинних домах є вільне життя, є теплі спогади бабусь і дідусів, є усмішки дітей. І немає єдиного – немає жодного сліду окупації.
Так буде.

Our entire Ukrainian family today honors the memory of the victims of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people. The people against whom the crime of genocide was committed seventy-nine years ago. Hundreds of thousands of people were exiled to a foreign land. The whole people was deprived of home and there was an attempt to erase everything in Crimea that spoke of them.

Everyone in Ukraine now recognizes this evil. Years later, having changed its symbols but not the essence of evil, evil returned. To destroy people in the same way. But this time we will destroy it. We have to do it.

No matter what Russia does, its aggression will be defeated. It will not succeed in stealing either Crimea or any other part of our country. This is our home.

I am confident that the time will come when we will all be able to meet together on May 18 and be sure that our Crimea, its blooming gardens and hospitable homes have free life, warm memories of grandparents, smiling children and no trace of occupation.
And so it will be.
