In 2022, all 435 House seats and 35 of the 100 Senate seats are on the ballot. Additionally, 36 out of 50 states will elect governors.
HOUSE
Democrats hold 222 seats in the House, or 4 more seats than needed to retain majority. Republicans could grossly underperform historical averages (new POTUS shuffle) and still retake the House.
SENATE
Democrats hold the Senate majority in a 50-50 chamber via VP Harris' tiebreaker. With 10 key races on deck, Republicans are poised to retake the majority.
